Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Buffy ,'Sleeper'

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Megan, that's terrible! I can't believe you're managing work. Wow.

I am *at* work but not really managing *to* work. So far I have printed out 6 labels.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Best Bronson movie - Once Upon a Time in the West (also the best Sergio Leone movie).

The Magnificent Seven is fun too.

Still haven't seen the Dirty Dozen.

Did the proposal happen in Halifax or at Torcon?

Actually, it happened at the top of the CN tower.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Sue, interview vibes have been sent! Hope your headache went away.

Megan, I just saw your post in natter asking about my "Occupational Research interview." I'm talking to people I know at BIO and (eventually) Dalhousie. After that (if I work up the courage), I'll be contacting places that are listed as employers of mathematicians on the HRDC website. Or not, since that's way scarier than talking to people I already know. Sigh. I'm nervous enough about talking to Charles today, whom I've known for years and who helped me with a job application another time. Anyway, B. could try doing the same sort of thing. I have a hand-out on how to do the O.R. interviews, and could photocopy it if you wanted.

Sure, that would be cool, thanks Ouise!

Today Elena comes home so maybe we should plan a get together so we can see all the NY photos and hear all the stories before B. has surgery.
