Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Sue, interview vibes have been sent! Hope your headache went away.

Megan, I just saw your post in natter asking about my "Occupational Research interview." I'm talking to people I know at BIO and (eventually) Dalhousie. After that (if I work up the courage), I'll be contacting places that are listed as employers of mathematicians on the HRDC website. Or not, since that's way scarier than talking to people I already know. Sigh. I'm nervous enough about talking to Charles today, whom I've known for years and who helped me with a job application another time. Anyway, B. could try doing the same sort of thing. I have a hand-out on how to do the O.R. interviews, and could photocopy it if you wanted.

Sure, that would be cool, thanks Ouise!

Today Elena comes home so maybe we should plan a get together so we can see all the NY photos and hear all the stories before B. has surgery.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I put them in a cab on my way to work.

NYC seems a little less shiny. :-(

Your loss, our gain! But you have our sympathy, since we were missing them.

Sure, that would be cool, thanks Ouise!
Ok, will do. And we sould definitely get together to see NY pics sometime soon.

going to doctor in an hour. have had full body allergic reaction to something, either my allergy shot or the ibuprofin I had for a headache. Last time this happened I was off work for a month - doubt this will happen again but it's pretty scary.

Oh Megan, take care!

Am better now and am getting ready to go to work. The doctor who was on duty last night thinks it was a reaction to the allergy shot I had yesterday morning. Since my doctor will still be away, she offered to give me my shot next week and she'd step me back a few doses. She put me back on Nasonex since my nose was completely swollen shut, and I took 2 benadryl when I got home. I guess since my immune system is out of wack, when I have a reaction, my whole body joins the party.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow. I'm glad you're okay.

Oh, the irony of a reaction to an allergy shot.
