Guys, bad news. I'm very, very sorry, but the party on the 1st is going to be postponed. My sister decided, at the last moment, as is typical, to come to Halifax that weekend... And since I'm pretty much working the entire time except for Friday .. .. We'll do something else, soon. I promise.

Sob. Our VCR has been being wonky, and Nora didn't get a tape of Firefly. I was out on Friday evening, so I didn't get to see it. Anyone have a tape I could borrow?

In other entertainment news, I now have a DVD player! I had a bit of trouble setting it up (I couldn't figure out how to set the TV to the correct input). I eventually managed to get it done by the time-honoured approach of calling my brother for help, having him come over and then finding the page in the TV manual myself pretty much right away. But I gave him apple pie with ice cream, so I think we're ok.

Anyone else have trouble with the volume on Angel last night? I had to turn my TV up to 30 or use closed captioning in order to get the gist of anything. WHA!
