Kaylee: Is that him? Mal: That's the buffet table. Kaylee: Well how can we be sure, unless we question it?

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Whew. If there wasn't ADND tonight, well that would be sudden and unnerving.

Thanks for all the fish.

Mecha, how are you fixed for time on Wed, Thurs and/or Friday? A zombie matinee hangs in the balance. Oooh, or Homoerotic Pirates!

Um-hm, and exactly how powerful a reality transmogrifier do have? Because if you're going to get me into the theater showing the homoerotic pirate movie, you'll need a big one.

Wednesday I work at 5, thursday I work all day, until 6. Friday 9-5.

Thanks for all the fish.

Well, then, Wednesday matinee? Or Thursday night. Same price, why not? Actually, Thursday night might be better. We can grab dinner and then catch the late show.

Megan, you'll be happy to know that your husband landed safe and sound. He called on his way from the airport.

And now I'm wondering if he called Brian before he called you and I'm torn between thinking it's really sweet and being horrified that your hate for my husband's indoctrination will spill over onto me and our martini nights.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Hi folks! I've managed to find my way here after all. t g

Right now my Halifax trip is pretty open. I know when we(I'm traveling with my BF) arrive, when we're flying out and where we're staying, but that's it. Ok, I know =who= we're staying with, but not where he lives, exactly.

I'm basically open to suggestions here. (And yes, I do know that that's a straight line if ever there was one, but what the hey...:) )

Thanks for all the fish.

If you're in town on a Monday night you *have* to come to cheap martini night. Oh, and if you enjoy that sort of thing the whale watching is apparently quite amazing.

Well, I'm actually leaving on Monday morning. Ah, well. I have no idea what our friend might want to show us, but my BF has started researching stuff to do.

As for a get-together place/time, I'm pretty flexible.

Oh, I'll be in New York. You've managed to quite neatly drop your visit in the midst of my vacation.

But whale watching is good, and Peggy's Cove is a must.

hip deep in pie

Hi Sheryl. I'll be around then. I look forward to meeting you. It is a good time to whale watch, but I don't know how good it is off Halifax at that time. But August is their feeding time....

In the near brushes with fame category: I went to Dooly's on Barrington tonight to play pool with some friends. When we got there it was empty but for two guys playing in the front, and one old guy playing alone in back. We got a table nearer to the back, and after a while, the old guy left. My friend C. was the only one to see him as he passed our table, and it was Peter Falk! We felt like we should have invited him to play some pool with us. I didn't even notice him leaving.

(I did see him playing pool, but didn't really look at him.)
