Aiee! Holy shit! I just quit my job (over email) and I'm kind of freaking. Wow.

I'm not sure how this is going to work out (I emailed the owner of the contracting company and said that I changed my mind about renewing the contract which I agreed to renew back in February). I think that the new contract hasn't actually started yet, so that might be when I stop.

Oh, by the way, I'm leaving because it makes me miserable and I do have savings, so I figure why not? That way every member of my immediate family will be unemployed except for Helen, who's out of school.

Why, you may ask, is Helen out of school? Because she had jaw surgery this morning. It went really well, and she's doing fine. Mostly she sleeps, but she can talk, and the swelling isn't that bad. It's all in her lips, too - she looks like she got collagen injections. Whitefonted TMI: She had to stay in recovery for three hours because she was throwing up the blood she swallowed during surgery, but she stopped at 3pm. All gone.

Well, I'll have to see if I can make it in to work tomorrow (the fits of crying this morning convinced me that I shouldn't go today.)

And HRM's vomiting is really quite common for that kind of surgery. Still, poor thing. She'll feel much better while all of the anaesthetic is out of her system.

Indeed! In fact, I think that just doing something about it has made me feel better.

The people at the hospital gave that impression. Once it was out, she really didn't seem distressed at all. Just really woozy. She even managed a bathroom trip mostly on her own.

I really enjoyed last night's Angel, especially the people-eating parts. Brrr.
