Dawn: Is that supposed to scare me? Spike: Little tremble wouldn't hurt.

'The Killer In Me'

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

Thanks for all the fish.

Oh, holy fuck! XANDER!

What did NF say to him before he poked his eye out? Something about him being the fellow that saw everything? Some insane fucko called right during that scene! I will rewatch with Brian.

As for Jasmine - poor Fred! I actually really like her tonight!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I don't remember the exact wording, but that was the essence of it.

hip deep in pie

You took the words right out of my mouth, Pinwiz.

Though I was surprised that he wasn't holding his eye when they carried him out...you'd think it would be more oozy, and bloody. Not that it wasn't disgusting.

My friend who dropped by during Buffy says that Caleb is a lot like a comic book character, The Preacher. Does anyone know that one?

I liked the whole episode. It was nice and dark. Faith was zippy and great.

Thanks for all the fish.

The eyeball would have kind of exploded and oozed, but there was blood... Lots of blood. Poor Xander.

Our wings are not tired.

Caleb – Big Damn Scary Evil. Talk about taking religion head on. He put the eep in creepy and brought to mind discussions of freak ass churches. Fighty stuff with the wine barrels was satisfying enough.

Xander’s dream – I knew he was dreaming, but it still cracked me up. I love when BtVS makes me laugh.

Xander’s pain – Ouch! HFS Ouch! I want to see tomorrow for the promo so I will know how he is.

Faith – can’t blame her for being pissed about the lack of warning on the Bringers. That was nothing short of rude. Faith rocks.

Faith/Spike – knew they had to be hot together. Loved Spike flirting with her. Loved the mention of the warm champagne. Yes. I love when BtVS is sexy.

The “I’m nothing like Angel” stuff fell flat for me.

Buffy: I don’t want to lead them into war. It can’t be the right thing. PH: Most wars aren’t, you know.

Again with both the funny and serious goodies in the Hottie/Buffy scene.

Have I mentioned that I love this show.

Missing in action since 2002...

Great things in the episode:

The Xander speech (which should have been my clue that he was going to get hurt), complete with Andrew's tear. xANdrw4EVA!!!

Faith and Spike in the basement.

Xander HSQ. That's the first time this season I've screamed back at the TV.

I need to analyze some more.

I didn't think of it until you mentioned it, but it makes sense - Preacher is dark, dark stuff, and the title character is a priest who's lost his faith and now wanders around America. There's even an Irish vampire in the story.... The main difference is that the Preacher is an antihero and not a bad guy. But the similarities are definitely there.

Our wings are not tired.

It had that lovely balance of funny, sexy, fighty, dramatic, everything that makes it a great show.

Again with the major tension with Giles and Buffy. Ouch.
