Great things in the episode:
The Xander speech (which should have been my clue that he was going to get hurt), complete with Andrew's tear. xANdrw4EVA!!!
Faith and Spike in the basement.
Xander HSQ. That's the first time this season I've screamed back at the TV.
I need to analyze some more.
My friend who dropped by during Buffy says that Caleb is a lot like a comic book character, The Preacher. Does anyone know that one?
I didn't think of it until you mentioned it, but it makes sense - Preacher is dark, dark stuff, and the title character is a priest who's lost his faith and now wanders around America. There's even an Irish vampire in the story.... The main difference is that the Preacher is an antihero and not a bad guy. But the similarities are definitely there.
It had that lovely balance of funny, sexy, fighty, dramatic, everything that makes it a great show.
Again with the major tension with Giles and Buffy. Ouch.
Yeah, Xander is much better at speeches than Buffy.
Course, she's much better at seeing, now.
Hey, he's still got one eye. Think of the pirate jokes.
I wonder if he'll be the one saying "Grr AAARGH!" from now on.
It looks like the Liberals are going to win the Quebec election.
Really, Sue? Huh. Guess the ethnics and the money vote are coming out in force.
Ewwww, both of you on joking about Xander. I am ignorant of the current election. I have been very news avoidy lately.
No one love Xander more than me. (Edit- I mean that no one loves Xander more than me, but I like the dictatorial flare of he first statement.) I wanted him to be the one to take the Captain down.
(this is what Brian spoiled me on, NF being on the show. How hard would I have squeed had I been surprised?)
Though I keep wondering what other Firefly cast members will be showing up...
I was spoiled for that from the Lite thread. I had no clue he was going to be a badass though. He did Evil quite nicely.
