I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

Thanks for all the fish.

Are you forgetting that you're a bitch? I'll keep reminding you if you like.

I wish I was more of a bitch in these situations. When the conflict starts I get pretty "deer in the headlights". Needless to say, they want to talk to my boss tomorrow.

Thanks for all the fish.

Excellent... A man on the phone accused me (to a student) of 'playing twenty questions' because I had the audacity to ask his name... Hookay, yeah. Sure.

Was that tonight? Is there a full moon or something?

I've decided. I don't like people. Buffistas - good. People - bad.

Thanks for all the fish.

Yeah, earlier in the day. Yes, people suck. They are horrible and nasty and don't deserve us.

I think we need new professions, ones where human interaction is minimal. Maybe we could work with sloths, or slugs. They are slow and quiet.

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

Elena already works with some sloths and slugs.

Come to think of it, so do I.

Thanks for all the fish.

I was chatting with a nurse from the ER the other night, and we were joking (grimly) about the awful people we have to deal with. She said that she had very little compassion left; I agreed, and told her that people have told me that maybe I should be in another line of work because of that. She came right back with my standard answer, which is that the job drives compassion out of you. There's only so many times you can get shat upon before you become cynical.

And on that note, I'm off to bed. Hope tomorrow is better. But you start vacation soon, yes?

Thanks for all the fish.

Sloths and slugs and various other four-legged beasties and invertebrates. They know who they are.
