I was chatting with a nurse from the ER the other night, and we were joking (grimly) about the awful people we have to deal with. She said that she had very little compassion left; I agreed, and told her that people have told me that maybe I should be in another line of work because of that. She came right back with my standard answer, which is that the job drives compassion out of you. There's only so many times you can get shat upon before you become cynical.
And on that note, I'm off to bed. Hope tomorrow is better. But you start vacation soon, yes?
Sloths and slugs and various other four-legged beasties and invertebrates. They know who they are.
But you start vacation soon, yes?
Next Friday. Can't. Wait.
Can't come soon enough, I know. B goes for his CT scan tomorrow. Let's hope we get some satisfaction.
I hope things start speeding up for B. All the waiting is pretty sucky.
I was in your store today, you weren't. Poop!
That sucks, Meeg... Brian is going... Well, he's going... ENT appointment on the 6th. Shit, have to try to get the day off. Must remember to make phone calls.
Hopefully Dr. Tolkien will pick up the pace now!
One can only hope. Do you suppose the problem is The Ring in his nose?
Do you suppose the problem is The Ring in his nose?
Possibly. An evil ring will usually frell up the sinus passages. I guess it's better than having a big flaming yoni up your the nose.
You don't want to see the application for that unguent.
