FFL Nikki was played by a stunt womam. S7 Nikki is played by some model/actress.

I really like the Hottie/Nikki plot, but Spuffy is more smelly and tired than B/A were by the end of S3, and that's sayin a lot. Not a spoiler: If Buffy has to fight with or kill Hottie to save poor Spike from him I will puke.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I love the Principal McHottie backstory but I also guessed right away that Nikki was his mom.

I knew it the minute he said his mom was a slayer. It fits very well, because I always thought that Nikki was a bit older than Buffy, like mid- to late-twenties. Certainly the actress who played her in FFL was older

Tangential note: Does it seem like Spike mostly gets his butt kicked in fights? Has that always been true?

Even Joyce managed to kick Spike's ass.

I liked it. As Elena said, it was funny.

Our wings are not tired.

I watched half asleep, so I think I need to rewatch for breakfast.

Always nice to see Jonathan.

Yes, the Hottie/Nikki connection was guessed the moment he mentioned his mom and I loved it. Didn’t see that one coming at all.

ita is gonna drool when she sees the storage closet.

Ethan Rayne in disguise.

I want Victor and Thessaly to adopt me.

He's not even sexy anymore, he's just irritating.

I think sometimes I may be the only person here still Spike’s Bitch. Oh well.

eta:mmm numbah

Oh yeah, I just remembered that it bugged me that Giles was talking loudly to make himself understood with the Chinese proto. My Giles is cooler than that.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Not alone, Laura. I'm still a Bitch. And the B/S here didn't bother me.

WHY are they allowed to raise the Tulakhan (sp?) twice? That bugs me.

I was hoping that when Ashanti had Xander up there and explained what she was doing he'd tell her she was too late. Because really, why weren't the Bringers calling up a host of them, otherwise?

The whole Xander plot bugged, becuase it was so freaking unnecessary to throw him back into manbitch territory - and for what? So we know that there are demons out there choosing sides? Duh.

As soon as Principal Hottie mentioned his mother I was doing the math - but I wish they'd drawn out the realization on his part a little more. But the FE telling him does have implications, I guess. His "thank you" at the end, after having been the only one to really keep a straight head when faced with the FE as a loved one really creeped me.

Giles seemed very off. I vote Ethan!

Yeah, it bugged me, too. The only reason I can come up with is because it made Anya jealous.

Our wings are not tired.

So I can't wait until later..

First Date thoughts:

Giles – I was cool with the squeaky shoed Bringer. They haven’t been shown as terribly clever. I was very annoyed with the cliché of Giles shouting at the Chinese potential to get her to understand him. Grrr.

Principal Hottie – It is about time Buffy checked what he was up to with the shovel. The abundance of storylines makes for odd sequencing. Yep, I bounced up and down when he said his mother was the slayer. Love it. And damn, can that man be any hotter?

Cool stuff: The laughing at the notion that Buffy is a good counselor. Not wasting time on showing the chipectomy. Anya’s reactions to the dates.

Not so cool stuff: Recycled Xander demon dating storyline. Xander wants to be gay now babbling.

Anvils – yes, I get it, FE has plans for Spike, but not yet.

They didn't really explain the bloody knife, either. I think there's more going on with him that's yet to be explained.

I was kind of hoping that Buffy would pick up on the Spike connection before he did and have to grapple with what to tell and how. Except that it might lead to Three's Company-esque hiding behind the couch and stuff, so maybe it's just as well.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

He could've just run into a random evil red-blooded demon. I don't need an explanation for it.

Yeah, I can live with that. But it does make me wonder if he's not telling everything.
