Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Hee!

Makes mental note to add phrase "Do a noser" to my vocabulary.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also, was Anya's hair color directly related to her demon status, or did she just get a dye job according to how evil/good she was feeling that day?

Elena wrote a great fic dealing with this concept. (In essence, Xander got a sexual charge out of each of these changes.)

I think that fic's called "Pervert, Too."

OK- confirmation- we do see Giles' escape from Axe Dude. I also now know that the reason I didn't remember seeing it was because I never did- the flashback comes at the very first seconds of First Date, which I'm now seeing in its entirety for the first time.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Other Pervert, IIRC.

It's great.

Art Crawl!!!

They're here!

In fact, they have been here since sometime this afternoon which I did not know because when I came back from the grocery store, there was mail in my mailbox and I thought that meant that my mail had been delivered earlier. I was sad because it meant no dvds til tomorrow. Went to check on Amazon where they were and it said that they'd been delivered!

And there they were in my cold damp mail box. The box was a little damp, but the dvd packaging itself feels cold, but not damp.

Whew.

Exciting and also sad -- because it's the last season.

Seeing the high post numbers on this thread is also sad, because it's the last Buffy thread, isn't it?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

My DVDs have been at the post office since Thursday. I have had no time to go pick them up! I am sad. Monday, it will have to be.

Trust my rage

I just watched the first five minutes of Lessons. Even though S7 may not have been the best, I just love Buffy. I haven't watched it since this summer sometime, and I'd sort of forgotten how great she is.

And now, back to the rest of the episode....

God. I watched Same Time Same Place this morning and I forgot how funny (paralyzed!Dawn), creepy and grotty (Gnarl eating bits of Willow-flesh) and touching it is. (I actually had tears at the end of it -- you know, Buffy lending Willow her strength.)

I don't remember reacting this strongly to it the first time 'round -- or when catching it in repeat.
