Buffy 4: Grr. Arrgh.
This is where we talk about Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No spoilers though?if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. This thread is NO LONGER NAFDA. Please don't discuss current Angel events here.
I'm moving to a town called Monterey, it's south of San Francisco some and way north of Los Angeles. It's on the water - the Pacific Ocean, in fact. The sun sets over that, too. Nuts! West Coast, sweetie, West Coast. Which is good, 'cause it's gonna be different, but bad because I don't know how my Bostonian ass is going to handle being so far away from well, everything.... but then again I am living in North Carolina now and that hasn't been too bad, if you ignore the fact that they don't have Dunkin Donuts down here (or at least one that will make your coffee the right way) and people try to be pleasant 24-7.
The buffy dream was good. It was me and Xander and Spike doing our thing. Very realistic. Not uncommon, however. The interesting thing was SMG's appearance, and my making a meal of her, so to speak. Now that, my friends, was shocking. You never know who will appear when. i was delighted. It was as if, as they say in French, mon premier pois a pousse.
Can't say it's what my list would be, but "Family" is the only surprise choice. Although even that is critical for one of my favorite arcs, the blossoming of Tara.

And I love how the Scoobies embrace Tara (and sort of re-embrace one another) in it. I cried at the end - floaty dance schmoop and all. I think dh was a little misty, too. But he'll never admit it.
Hi all, I just wanted to pop in an add a big giant *sigh*
I've been at my parents house so I haven't been posting because, well I haven't gotten near the computer. I will probably be around after it's all...over...and wow that is highly upsetting to type. I guess I at least still have Angel for the time being, some people I know don't even watch that. I've been lurking but not commenting, but I get a general sense of sad, and hey I'm right there with you!
I tried filking John Mayer's "No Such Thing" from Xander's POV, because whenever I hear it, I get a Xander video montage in my head. There's a slight problem with filking it though. Looking at the lyrics, I think he frigging wrote it for Xander.

edited to put the thread on a diet.
I am almost eager for the end: I want to have the entire story, complete, so I can start over again from the beginning and reimmerse myself in this rich, strange world, this time knowing what the shape of the whole will be, what everything is heading towards. I don't want the series to finish-end, ever, but I have a mad desire to see the completion/fulfillment/fruition/absolute-purpose end of the story.
And in other news, I am a freak because I rate The Prom higher than either half of Graduation Day: so much pain, so much stellar acting, such beautiful, hurtful, generous writing - and, of course, an abundance of everything I love and miss most about Giles.
Teppy's book-reading "I wonder what Harry is doing now" friend is utterly enchanting.
Monterey is gorgeous, and a far but not impossible distance from both LA and SF, so Samantha really ought to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the company of both the LAistas and the Bay Areaistas.
And a huge WROD WROD WROD to everyone's love of the Buffistas for deepening and enriching the experience of watching this already astonishing show. The many, many iterations of this thread, the original seed of this board, have been entertaining, enlightening, and a world-class education. And the community is strong enough to live on its own, without the show that started it. What a big messy miracle!
Anyway, I'm wearing black today.
Don't feel silly. I'm wearing my Tubey "There's an apocalypse? Must be Tuesday" shirt and want to cry b/c this is the last. tuesday. apocalypse. ever.
t chokes back tears
no more Tuesdays with Smonster. A time is drawing to a close. In a way, tonights Buffy finale is a finale for a part of my life.
t can't choke back anymore
WAAAAAAAAAHHH! Samantha, this summer is all about you, me and DVD's make 3.

I am a freak because I rate The Prom higher than either half of Graduation Day
Then you are my Freak Sistah!
Smonster: "You wanna make it right? Then when you go to Nationals... bring it. Don't slack off because you feel sorry for us. That way, when we beat you, we'll know it's because we're better. "
Samantha will seek out buffistas in "Cali." Samantha is most anxious about being that far from Boston and New York and Providence and coffee milk and all things good, gritty, locally cultured, and corrupt. But, SF is a nice town and LA has its offerings. Samantha is excited, loking forward to the change. Samantha is embracing California: Samantha bought new car.
Ahem.
Oh Buffy gal, the end, the end is coming
From set to set, and downloads far and wide
The season's gone, and all your fans are crying
'Twas you, 'twas you, without you we must bide.
But come ye back in reruns of the show
When we'll even watch those few eps that blow
Like As You Were, Beer Bad, Sprial, and Shadow
Oh Buffy gal, oh Buffy gal, We love you so.
On Tuesday nights, when there is nobody slaying
And threads dead, as dead as dead can be
We'll miss you more and more, without you playing
Except for in our fading memories
Of Oz and Will, an' Xander, Giles, and Cordy
And Tara too, and Dawn, and Spike (not Riley)
Faith, Andrew, Anya, Joyce, Snyder, and monkeys
