Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

serial:

sorry if anyone who didn't want to see that saw it. (the previous white-fonted post). I realized after I hit post that it should be white-fonted.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I didn't see it, so thank you for whitefonting.

I know it's a small thing.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I have a friend who will make herself stop reading a book when she gets close to the end; that way, she says "the characters won't stop doing stuff."

Oh, I do this.

when I was watching the download yesterday, I found myself yelling "Stop!" at the TV, like if I hit pause, Buffy wouldn't ever end, and it would all be okay.

And it's 50/50 whether I'll get up at 8:50 tonight and find something urgent to do in the kitchen, leave and let the tape run. I taped and have still never watched the final ep of ST:TNG.

I think this ties into my always being late. It's not that I don't want to arrive on time...it's that I have trouble leaving places, situations, people...tv shows.

This is the same friend who, when she goes to read, says (if, for instance, it's Harry Potter) "I have to go see what Harry's doing."

Or if we're out shopping and she's in the middle of a book, will look at me and say "I wonder what Harry's doing?"

I love that.

Whew! Steph, I'm so glad I was fast enough. It's not too small a thing to care about.

See now, I'm the opposite--I love getting to the end, because then I can go back and reread/rewatch/redo whatever it was I enjoyed so much. This is probably why I've read my favorite books upwards to 50 times.

Oh, I re-read books upmteen times, and I do tend to rush through them so I can find out what happens, but still. There's nothing like the first time.

Wow. I thought I had it bad. It took me a full year to bring myself to watch the last 10 eps of DS9 and two months to finally watch "Serenity".

Our wings are not tired.

s7 was my most unspoiled year. It was grand to watch it as served. I think the only things I knew in advance were casting issues that were tough to miss without wearing blinders in the grocery store check out. As for the finale, the only spoilage for me came from the promo last week. Bastards.

I was totally spoiled during s5 and a little bit in s6. All in all this season was much more satisfying without knowing stuff. So glad I didn't know about Xander in advance!

I will play in the spoiler thread for a little while now, but I will flee before I actually get spoiled for Angel.

I'm really not taunting, but I have to say the first time I watched the finale I was so preoccupied with it being the finale that I had to watch again for content. I was just too numb to feel it the first run.
