Mal: Okay. She won't be winning any beauty contests anytime soon. But she is solid. Ship like this, be with ya 'til the day you die. Zoe: 'Cause it's a deathtrap.

Good god, I hope they use another design for Giles. Maybe give him a head instead of just a skull.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Maybe give him a head instead of just a skull.

Seriously. He looks like a mummy.

I like that Giles a lot. If you've seen the Buffy comics, most folks have a terrible time doing a good likeness of Giles.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Why not just email Eric and ask him, CaBill?

Umm...

You know Allyson, I could. Didn't really think about it, because he is professional artist, and I never really feel comfortable talking to them, because in my other hat, my budget never allows me to pay them what they are worth. And I hate to interrupt them while they are (in theory) doing paying work.

Okay, I will do a recon for the Buffistas...

His email addie is right on his site, though. If it's a bother, he won't respond. No harm, no foul.

Am I the only asshole in the world that just emails random people to find shit out when I'm curious? Is this a faux pas?

Nah. I think it is F2F habits just bleeding over in the online world. In the real world, going up to a stranger and tapping them on the shoulder to ask them a question has a certain weight to it that sometimes people unconsciously carry over...

I think.

I do it. When it's a stranger, I'm polite, but if I'm genuinely interested and their e-mail is public, I don't think it's a problem.

Edit: After all, I put my e-mail on my fic site so people can do exactly the same thing. I do it less often in meatspace, though I have been known to go up to people and just ask stuff, especially when the setting's not *entirely* random (say, classroom).
