Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Unsexually, they are also an interesting threesome.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That made me think of the scene where Faith beats up the Mr. Spock-alike.

Which would be cool, except I then remembered that Andrew was telling that story, and thought about Andrew in general, and got all Puppet!Angel scowly faced.

What is even happening?

I bought it because I didn't want to leave Buffy just sitting there at the checkout stand.

This touches me, and is what I would do (but I haven't yet seen it). Am also a huge dork. But, it's Buffy.

Okay - hiveminded Buffy question - I'm watching Conversations With Dead People on FX. Why does the episode start out with the title and time/date? I've never understood this.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't think we've ever figured that out. Not to my knowledge, anyway.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Why does the episode start out with the title and time/date? I've never understood this.

Shhh! They're being artsy. Best to just go with it...

Darn - I keep hoping there's an answer. I guess I'll go with arsty for now.

What is even happening?

I think the answer was actually that they were just being artsy. I seem to remember one of the writers saying something about it, but can't remember who or where, sadly.

Up with the sun

I think it's supposed to help indicate to the viewer that a)the episode is happening in real time and b)all four(?) storylines in it are unfolding at once.

Which may be what Cindy and victor meant by artsy, actually.

Trust my rage

I've always wondered how all this scrutiny would make me feel as a writer. I mean, it could get sort of iritating to have people examining every detail. OTOH, it could be really cool that over a year later, people are still discussing your storytelling decisions.
