Okay - hiveminded Buffy question - I'm watching Conversations With Dead People on FX. Why does the episode start out with the title and time/date? I've never understood this.
Early ,'Objects In Space'
Buffy 4: Grr. Arrgh.
This is where we talk about Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No spoilers though?if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. This thread is NO LONGER NAFDA. Please don't discuss current Angel events here.
I don't think we've ever figured that out. Not to my knowledge, anyway.

Shhh! They're being artsy. Best to just go with it...
Darn - I keep hoping there's an answer. I guess I'll go with arsty for now.
I think the answer was actually that they were just being artsy. I seem to remember one of the writers saying something about it, but can't remember who or where, sadly.
I think it's supposed to help indicate to the viewer that a)the episode is happening in real time and b)all four(?) storylines in it are unfolding at once.
Which may be what Cindy and victor meant by artsy, actually.
I've always wondered how all this scrutiny would make me feel as a writer. I mean, it could get sort of iritating to have people examining every detail. OTOH, it could be really cool that over a year later, people are still discussing your storytelling decisions.

Heh. A measly year? I intend to be blathering about the importance of Giles' connection to a mystical tradition or Xander's sense of isolation decades from now.
Of course, my conversation partners are likely to be my 112 cats.

Not as long as the Buffistas are around....
Well, there's always the possibility that John will be a lone deported survivor of the great Ashcroft Porn-Instigators Pogrom should such coincide with one of our f2f gatherings.
