I guess I can see that. I'm just not used to soaps having substance.
Marti Noxon famously described BtVS as Party of Five with monsters.
'Life of the Party'

Doesn't Marti Noxon describe everything she works on as "Party of Five with..."?

(There have been many points in time when various soap operas had quite a lot of substance. OLTL and GL in the early to mid 90's are good examples. Soaps have historically gotten no respect partly because they are considered a "women's" genre.)
I've a question regarding SMG's eye color. Does she sometimes wear contacts for Buffy? Or do they really change with what she's wearing?
From close-up press pics, they appear to be grey-green hazel, leaning more towards green. (IOW, about the same as my own eyes). I never noticed them looking brown in S7, but there were times where they looked more grey than green, depending on wardrobe.
Someone asked about Easter Eggs, right? I copied this from Deni over at morethanspike.

When they were advertising OMWF's first run, they showed lots of footage of the cast recording songs in the commercials. Is that footage anywhere?
Just screened Once More with Feeling to a bunch of college students in my dorm's lounge. They seemed to be widely entertained.

And unto us a new generation is born....
Now you need to schedule a showing of a DVD episode every week....
I said "entertained." Not fascinated. The group of people I live with are a hard-headed bunch: they're not going to watch Buffy. The ones that show any potential in that direction I've already recruiting, or are attempting to recruit (and succeeding, usually).
The whole point of the musical is that it's entertaining to ANYBODY. Fans just appreciate it more.
