Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

So, season 1, then?

I think that it was post season 1. I checked out an ep, didn't really like the gore factor, mentioned it to a friend, who said "you should give it another chance. this has been the gross season"

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Seriously, though, wasn't Toombs a season 1 episode? They brought the ick pretty early by my recollection.

Yeah, season 1. (Trying this from memory)

Mulder touches the yellow slime in Toombs lair.

Scully: Mulder, I think that's bile.

Mulder: *grimaces* Is there any way I can get this off quickly without belying my cool exterior?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Granted the way Toombs was dispatched season 2 or 3 was even grosser, but I remember there being plenty o' ick from the get go.

I'm trying to imagine which season was the REALLY gross season.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It was the same season. First ep was named "Squeeze", second was named "Tooms".

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Tooms was the Flukeman, right?

I miss old-school XF.

Jose Chung!

Best two eps ever. Granted, one was for "Millennium". But the "Millennium" Jose Chung episode (forget the title) was FANTASTIC with its mockery of Scientology. "Selfosophy" if I remember right.

Frank Black to bad guy about to try and leap over an alley to another roof. "Don't do it! You'll never make it!"

"Not with that negative attitude I won't!" Leap. Fall to death.

Hee hee hee.

"All right! My gun jammed!"

Hee hee hee hee hee...

I could have sworn they were at least a season apart. Huh.

Don't forget Duchovny's movie poster cameo in that: MR. HAPPY-GO-LUCKY

Lapsed Lurker

Tooms was the Flukeman, right?

Nah. Tooms was the stretchy guy who could fit into any space. Flukeman was the worm dude in the sewer. Ew. There was so much sewer water going into people's mouths in that episode. Nasty.

I'm trying to imagine which season was the REALLY gross season.

I vote for 8 (for bloody Mulder torture, flesh-fall-off showers, vomit-men who puke you back to life, and Jebuslug-in-the-spine).
