I might have to invent drinking games to get through it. It's by far my least-loved season.
Ditto. I haven't cracked the DVDs, as it's been entirely trumped by Firefly and LoTR EEs. Now S6, that'll be a different story since I'll be all over that like Chloe on Gallo's bunny.

Plei, your tag is giving me the shudders. Every time I read it. Have you actually read any of his novel or did you just find that quote somewhere?
I just finished my s5 DVDs. A lot of it I saw for the first time, since I was in Peace Corps the first time around. I liked it more than I expected, and cringed at Glory less. I think my expectations were lowered from all the comments I've read here.

I read the quote in an editorial in the local paper. I'm scared of the book.
Perkins, when I have rules, I shall send them to you.

Yay! Can we do a drunken post and watch?
We'll need people on hand with stomach pumps.
And I fear my drink spots will be fannishly snarky.
(Read: "everytime you see a Woobie!Spike trigger point, thump your head on the table, take a drink.")

Well, that cuts out any possibility of rewatching Intervention...
Take a 4 drinks every time Giles is underappreciated or pushed to the background for no apparent reason.
Actually, it's FFL I'm fearing.
Also, Crush, because my-oh-my, that B's still so bad for rejecting the poor woobieSpike in some circles.
Sorry. My issues.
Sigh.
Can't things just be allowed to be complex without an obvious right side/wrong side?

I kind of wonder what I'd think of Crush now. Buffy slamming the door in Spike's face was one of my very favorite moments in the series, but I suspect I wouldn't enjoy it as much now given that Spike turns out to have been right all along.
