Disaffected college student

I just bought the Buffy S1 DVD set, which leaves me only needing Buffy seasons 3 and 5 to be up-to-date on North American Mutant Enemy DVD releases.

But that's not what I'm gloating about--I bought the Buffy S1 DVD set used. I say "used", but unless whoever first bought it has a pretty nice shrinkwrapping machine, it was bought and resold without being opened at all. The box is a tad scuffed on the corners, and the wrap had come open about an inch on the side, but everything else looks pristine.

And it cost me $9.95.

I spent several minutes shaking it, listening for the rattling of a broken disc. The sales clerk did a double take when she scanned it at the register.

Wheeeee.

Another social casualty...

Ok, I don't know where to put news about BtVS cast members, and this looks to be as good a place as any.

Alyson Hannigan Will Be London Sally to Luke Perry’s Harry

Edit: Looking at this 3 hours more awake, I see that it somehow reads as very cranky to me. It wasn't supposed to. I just thought it was an interesting story and a good opportunity for AH.

All is well that ends in pizza.

When Harry Met Sally would see the 29-year-old actress moving away from adolescent roles.

Yay!

Plus? What happens with her sitcom deal in all this?

Nobody

In the BtVS is Gone With the Wind metaphor, Buffy=Scarlett, Rhett=Spike, Angel=Ashley.

Compare. Contrast. Discuss. Argue. Just post, dammit.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I can see the first two. And the "perfect happiness" bit makes a nice substitute for Melanie.

But Angel isn't Ashley. Angel eventually found the guts to leave Buffy.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Buffy = Rhett, Spike = Belle Watling, Angel = Atlanta.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

How about Spike = Scarlett. Selfish, willful, cruel when he wants to be. Meets his match in Buffy/Rhett.
