"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Curiously, although I was a grade junkie in school, the race for As and credits never seemed to impact my subconscious enough for me to dream about it. It was all mobster movie plots and my next door neighbor mowing the lawn shirtless.

I was happy to see that SMG's next film is gonna be sci-fi.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

It was all mobster movie plots and my next door neighbor mowing the lawn shirtless.

Is it okay to find that totally adorable? Because I do.

On topic - huh, I just realized that we pretty much never met any of Buffy's neighbors. Well, there was the one who got killed by the bug man...

I have my s5 dvds, and at least 2/3 of the eps are new to me, and yet I've only watched B. vs. D. so far. A lot of it is the roomie sitch - I don't watch them when she's around, half to spare her and half so I can actually enjoy them without her comments. Also, I'm still trying to get through my Angel s2 set.

Yes, but this one cooks for me and cluesticks me when appropriate and I can speak Romanian with her. We'll get past the Buffy thing somehow. She hasn't given it a chance yet - she's only seen Faith, Hope and Trick. She's got a real aversion to the supernatural stuff. That's kind of key.

If they got rid of all the porn on the internet, there would only be one website left...and it would be called 'Bring Back the Porn' - Dr Cox - Scrubs

Bwah!!! I love Scrubs, and I love Dr. Cox.

Scrubs is great. Dr Cox is the best. How John McGinley has not been nominated for an Emmy in comedy yet is another one of those Emmy-related mysteries that continue to escape me on a yearly basis.

Also, I used to get really offended when someone dissed on Buffy or any other shows I watch...especially those who were too narrowminded to give it a good shot. A few that have ended up loving it. Not as much as me mind you, but enough that they will watch reruns once in a while of both Buffy and Angel. And for those people who know I love Buffy and continue to insult it...my response is usually..."Well, you know what? I don't fucking like you." Okay not really, but it may as well be.

My roommate likes the Whedonverse yet cannot for the life of him understand the working concepts of a trashcan or dishwasher. It sucks, but I give him a free pass because im a nice guy.

Disaffected college student

I just bought the Buffy S1 DVD set, which leaves me only needing Buffy seasons 3 and 5 to be up-to-date on North American Mutant Enemy DVD releases.

But that's not what I'm gloating about--I bought the Buffy S1 DVD set used. I say "used", but unless whoever first bought it has a pretty nice shrinkwrapping machine, it was bought and resold without being opened at all. The box is a tad scuffed on the corners, and the wrap had come open about an inch on the side, but everything else looks pristine.

And it cost me $9.95.

I spent several minutes shaking it, listening for the rattling of a broken disc. The sales clerk did a double take when she scanned it at the register.

Wheeeee.
