I didn't see Willow as attracted to Fred at all. Fred was the only one I saw carrying the torch. Willow seemed put-off by it a little, in fact, or if not put off, at least bemused.

Really? I thought Willow seemed much more attracted to/interested in Fred than she initially did in Kennedy. Actually, Willow/Fred giggliness did remind me of the initial Willow/Tara bonding in S4.

I'm going to have to watch it again, because maybe I'm reading into my memories there, but I saw it as Willow seriously thinking about taking Fred up to a room up there, buying her breakfast the next morning, and then going home to Sunnydale.

I think Willow was flirting with Fred, and Fred was mostly oblivious to the fact that the thrill she was feeling might be more than intellectual. And if Willow had been single, Fred might have had the chance to expand her horizons.
Which is to say, I'm somewhere between Victor and Gloomcookie.
