Another social casualty...

Today's Baltimore Sun ran a couple of articles about the Buffy finale. I don't know if the first one is spoilery, because I'm too afraid to be spoiled to have read it. The second one has some unconventional choices for best episodes of each season.

'Buffy' will go and slay no more

Up with the sun

Why was the Marcy episode broadcast as "Invisible Girl," but now usually called "Outof Mind, Out of Sight"? I agree OOM, OOS is cleverer, I just wonder when the change happened...

Up with the sun

Also, Kim, the first article isn't spoilery -- it's basically just a tribute about how great the show is.

And what kind of monkey crack is that writer smoking to say "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" is the best of S2? In a season with "Becoming I & II," "Surprise," "Innocence," "School Hard," and "I Only Have Eyes for You"???? "BBB" is cute, but I don't think it would even make my Top 10.

All is well that ends in pizza.

IIRC, Out of Mind, Out of Sight was the ME/Joss title. WB changed it to "Invisible Girl" because that tile gives away the plot and they're idiots.

I could be off...

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Jon - yeah, I'll agree the Friday arts section is generally worthy (not so familiar with the Sunday), but I just so associate with the Herald with such classic, back-in-the-day headlines as "Terror Train".

That, and, I really don't like their main movie critic James Verniere (sp?). Both he and Peter Keough at the Phoenix have been around far. too. long. That said, one of the Hearld's music critics, Tristram Lazow (and I know I frelled the spelling of that one up), I remember fondly from his Boston Rock days (at least, I think I remember correctly?)

his Boston Rock days

You remember correctly. Except I think it's Lozaw. ;)
