I miss Buffy talk. I watched that show. I don't even know what channels these other shows are on. Are they still called channels? What's the difference between a channel and a station? Should I just be saying network? If HBO is a cable network, what's ABC? Is it a broadcast network? Where does that highway go to? This is not my beautiful house. This is not my beautiful wife.

Buffy 4: Grr. Arrgh.
This is where we talk about Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No spoilers though?if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. This thread is NO LONGER NAFDA. Please don't discuss current Angel events here.
Yes, ABC is a network. Allegedly.

I. LOVE. CINDY.
Hey, I think I missed the post-pilot-episode convos, but is anyone watching Nip Tuck? I'm alarmingly addicted...but it's at least on Tuesdays, so perhaps this is the door opening to the Buffy one slamming in my face.
I've not seen OC, but one of my coworkers said she thought it was actually good. But it seems a good lump of Buffistas are watching it, so maybe I'll give it a chance?

Okay, so no, because they killed Cupid, and that was stupid. But my gooberish ramble aside, how do we differentiate between network networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) and cable networks? Are the former called broadcast networks, or just networks - sorta like URLs. If there's a .ca in the addy, it's a Canadian site; if there's a .uk in the addy, it's a Brit site; if there's no designation, it's usually a US site.

MWAH - I love you right back, Sean.

Seconding the Cindy love. Why did they cancel that show?? It was so much fun! I miss it.
Me too. If it didn't come through in my response. Actually, I never used to miss NYPD on ABC. But then, they killed Andy's wife, and gave the kid leukemia and killed his dog, and his partner, and I thought *I* was gonna be an alcoholic if I watched anymore. Cause I dug Sipowicz, but he's not pretty enough to torture.
Hmmm, Buffy talk.
Let's play a Buffy game.
Option 1: Starting in Season One, list potential storylines which seemed implicit but which were never fully explored. For example, at what point would a Buffy/Xander romance have actually made sense. Because I think Joss considered it back then and I still think Zoe/Wash is his vision of that.
Option 2: We can play Overrated / Underrated. The key in this game is kind of all in how you set up the terms to get the most interesting conjunction. Overrated - DB's sexiness ; Underrated - ASH's sexiness. Overrated recurring character - Jonathan ; Underrated - Big Gay Larry. etc.
It was so much fun! I miss it.
Me too! Jeremy Piven at his funniest! And Paula Marshall - hubba hubba!
I still think Zoe/Wash is his vision of that
Crack, dude.
Which is to say, less facetiously, I don't think in a core cast of 4, two of them get to be that solidly happy. No way, no how, no Joss.
