Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

It's so frustrating. My TiVo's in the shop so I have to actually, you know, remember to watch it. Argh.

Oh these bitter toils to which life subjects us... What a cruel fate this is that has been wroght upon you, Consuela.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Don't mock, Sean. I had to go without mine for a few days three weeks into ownership, and it HURT. I can't imagine what 'Suela's going through.

What? Who's mocking? I can only imagine the horrible torture it must be to catch a progam at the time it actually airs...

Much like I have to do all the time.

Hmm... I guess I am mocking, aren't I? Well, it's a good thing you guys are on the other side of this here computer screen then, isn't it?

t runs away anyway

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Sean, you're kinda new around here, so I guess you haven't figured out rule 1 - "Don't mock ita. she can kill you with her thumb. And she knows crazy PHP hacker remote thumb-killing shit".

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And she knows where you live.

Okay, maybe she doesn't, but I do, and I can be bought off pretty cheaply.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can only imagine the horrible torture it must be to catch a progam at the time it actually airs...

Much like I have to do all the time.

So? Get a Tivo already!

I really can't think of another product where the "I can't imagine [activity] without it!" claims are as completely true. Maybe my Cuisinart. Or email. But mock not the pain of the Tivoless Tivo owner until you have walked a mile in their shoes watched an hour on their TV set.

Man, I had to watch The OC on "real" TV because I was TiVoing Last Comic (what a waste of hard drive), and it made me all paranoid. Couldn't hit pause to get the bagels out of the toaster, or to do laundry, couldn't miss any dialog, had to soak up any hotness all in one shot, because there was no rewind.

Torture.
