Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And she knows where you live.

Okay, maybe she doesn't, but I do, and I can be bought off pretty cheaply.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can only imagine the horrible torture it must be to catch a progam at the time it actually airs...

Much like I have to do all the time.

So? Get a Tivo already!

I really can't think of another product where the "I can't imagine [activity] without it!" claims are as completely true. Maybe my Cuisinart. Or email. But mock not the pain of the Tivoless Tivo owner until you have walked a mile in their shoes watched an hour on their TV set.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, I had to watch The OC on "real" TV because I was TiVoing Last Comic (what a waste of hard drive), and it made me all paranoid. Couldn't hit pause to get the bagels out of the toaster, or to do laundry, couldn't miss any dialog, had to soak up any hotness all in one shot, because there was no rewind.

Torture.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Sean, you're kinda new around here, so I guess you haven't figured out rule 1 - "Don't mock ita. she can kill you with her thumb. And she knows crazy PHP hacker remote thumb-killing shit".

Ha! I carry around pictures of wet, barefoot men for just such an occasion.

Okay, maybe she doesn't, but I do, and I can be bought off pretty cheaply.

And I know where you live, turncoat. You don't want to know how we deal with people who play both sides of the fence down here at the Ministry...

So? Get a Tivo already!

Hey, it's on the list. Unfortunately, It's behind New Computer, 24p Hi-Def DV Camera, and Playstation 2, though Tivo might be able to talk me into squeezing it ahead of Playstation in line.

I really can't think of another product where the "I can't imagine [activity] without it!" claims are as completely true. Maybe my Cuisinart. Or email.

Don't know about the Cuisinart, but I'd agree with email. I hate going without access to my email for more than a day or two, and even that's not with the happy-making.

Couldn't hit pause to get the bagels out of the toaster, or to do laundry, couldn't miss any dialog, had to soak up any hotness all in one shot, because there was no rewind.

No, but there is a rebroadcast tomorrow night, silly ita.

"God...my brilliance is now becoming a bit of a burden...get back to me." Dr. Cox - Scrubs

Surprisingly I thought that the OC pilot episode sucked ass. Minus the one dude from the Gilmore Girls that was hilarious and the most interesting character on the show. I sure hope it gets better because I have high hopes for it for some reason.

That is probably it. I just wish the same thing went for their reality shows. I can't believe that Temptation Island is coming back for a 3rd go.

I just finished watching the pilot, and I loved it. It's like S1 Dawson's Creek, in California! Only this time, Pacey's the main character! I just hope the chick who lives next door gets to wear at least one non-fugly outfit in the future.
