So the gang is over on Sunday for brunch, and I'm making pancakes and chatting with S---, who is now dating one of the guys. Then I tune in to the guys talking: "So did Spike *die* at the end?" "Dunno, man, they left it open enough he could come back, do the hero thing." "They left it open enough so they could bring him back for the movie."
I say, "You guys watch Buffy?!?! Since when?!?!"
They say, "Oh, no, we're talking about Cowboy Bebop."
S-- squeals to me, "Don't! I'm only on the second season of Buffy!"
I like her. But weird Cowboy Bebop/Buffy similarity.
Every time I see a tv promo for Rugrats go Wild, the "And Bruce Willis as the voice of Spike!" throws me a little.
t Bruce Willis voice
Oh, you're a nummy treat...
t /Bruce Willis voice
Ahhh! Bebop!Spike maybe kinda dies???
t /only on first season of CB
no need to double-post it, shock or no
I think the events in the Cowboy Bebop movie actually take place before the events at the end of the series.
(Very vauge white-fonting, just in case. Because I'm paranoid about spoiling anyone for anything.)
ETA: except I didn't because I am HTML impaired today.
Okay -- no UPN Buffy again!!! Damn them.
(I'm concerned because I'm missing one episode. ONE. Which I fear will not be seen again 'til it's on FX and all cut to bits. Yeah, obsessive but look where we are.)
Let me know if you don't get it Sumi.
I think the Spike name should be retired for use by anyone other than my favorite vampire. Think Mr. Lee would agree to that?

At least we know where TNN really came up with the name for their network that is supposed to be sexy and unapologetically male.
