Didn't it have a sink in it too? Or was that Willow's in "The Body"?
Hmmm, and I thought it did too! My school didn't have any dorms with sinks in the bedrooms (UVA) but at Virginia Tech, all the dorm rooms had sinks in them. They were the tiniest rooms ever (you had to have a loft; two beds and two desks wouldn't fit on the floor), but nice to be able to brush your teeth or get a cup of water without walking down the hall.
Ahhh the day isn't a day until someone has said 'sweet merciful crap'
Thanks for making this day a true day Sean. I can always count on you.
Glad to be of service, Gleebo. It's possibly my all-time favorite Homer expression.
I haven't had a chance to listen to any of the commenaries yet. They should be fun.
I'm just appalled at the idea of sharing a dorm room. Ours were matchbox sized, but they were ours, dammit. Very few shared rooms in our building.
Where did you go to school, ita? Not sharing a tiny dorm room sounds almost as strange as the giant apartments Plei got to share.

It was the standard at my old university. Not that I was living on campus, but those who did had their room to themselves.
My Sisters' college guaranteed singles after Freshman year.

McGill. Not many people lived in dorms, and it was a rare person that stayed in dorms past first year, but my building had probably 10 double rooms (never went into one, couldn't tell you the size) and 200 singles.
My sisters went to Connecticut College. The top floor of the dorms had maid's rooms.
Sharing a room was weird. I only did it that one quarter to keep my friends from losing their dorm space when two of the people there dropped out.
Icky.
Having my own room was MUCH better.
I cannot imagine sharing a room with any of the people I shared a floor with. Even the ones I liked. That door was very important.
Sharing a bathroom with 16 people was traumatic enough.
My boys will be staying in the Syracuse University dorms week after next. I will give a full report. They are also mad at me for making them room with each other instead of strangers. Oh well.
I miss having my own space. Of course, if I didn't have a rommate, I probably wouldn't leave the building.
