I don't think Alyson Hannigan will always be Willow. I think for Buffy fans she will always be Willow, but there are a lot of people who never watch Buffy who know her from the American Pie movies.
I was watching a rerun of the MTV Awards the other night and she and the guy from American Pie were presenters. They were announced as someone who was recently on the cover of FHM magazine and someone who recently masterbated to FHM magazine (or some variation of that).
I'm not sure if Eliza Dushku was a presenter or not....I didn't watch all of the show.
I think of the core actors AH is going to have the easiest time becuase she's had the most visibility outside of Buffy.
With regard to bi characters on TV.
A case could be made for Dax on DS9, all though maybe if you've BEEN both genders you're beyond bi/straight/gay at that point.
Sigh, yet another reason they blew it with Ally McTrill that last season on DS9 - it would have been so much more interesting and complicated if the next Dax host had been a man.
I'm pretty sure Chiana in Farscape was bi. In as much that if it had a heartbeat and a spine she'd jump it.
Never seen Farscape, so can't comment on Chiana. Would like to reiterate my desire for a bi character who's not a ho-bag -- ahem, I mean doesn't ooze sexuality and hook up with anyone willing. Being bi doesn't necessarily mean you have the world's most agressive sex drive.

Isn't it amazing how getting married rewrites your entire history in the eyes of outsiders into a fairly straight vanilla?
This is one thing that terrifies me when I think about ending up with a guy.
edited to fix quotation

Outsiders never have an accurate view of your history. Hence the outsideness.
t nods sagely at laura's wise words
Whoops meant that for another thread....
I'd call the vet right now, Sue.
Chiana wasn't a ho-bag, just had a complete joy in her own sexuality. Fun.
