Then again Alyson Hannigan will always be Willow. Nick Brendon will always be Xander, and ASH will always be Giles. No matter what they do.
it is a sign of my poor taste that AH is almost as much Michelle as Willow in my mind, although, I will state, I always forget the part where she was FPJ's girlfriend at the beginning of Boys and Girls, because I try to forget that movie, but I own AP1 & AP2, and plan to see the third opening weekend. I irrationally love those movies.
It may help a bit that the first image I get when thinking about Alyson is not any of her roles, but instead her in that Tigger suit at the Playboy Mansion Halloween party.
When I saw AP1 in the theaters I just kept saying to myself, "That isn't Willow, that isn't Willow, that isn't Willow." I loved both American Pie movies and are one of the few movies I own on DVD. But when AP2 came out it was still Willow without the magic to me.
She's a great actress, but I think I am too far invested in Buffy to ever see them as anything but people from the Buffyverse. But that is my problem, not the actors.
I think AH will do good work.
I think SMG could do good work, bt she seems to make poor choices and also not have a passopn for acting. I thin kshe would do well to take some time off, I think she is burnt out and needs a rest.
JM is too old really to go on to stardom, but I think he will be able to keep himslef comfortable.
TV weirds me out because of the lack of rehearsal and training, because I have almost always worked in educational theatre, I feel I can see how people could grow, given rehearsal and training. TV is so weird to me because the acting seems to be dependant on the actor only.

If he's invested his money wisely, he can go on to work in live theater and act in any play he wants. Hell, he can probably start his own company.
I'd go see him on stage.
With regard to bi characters on TV. I'm pretty sure Chiana in Farscape was bi. In as much that if it had a heartbeat and a spine she'd jump it.
Nicky B. is gonna get type cast as the goofy guy, but wanna see him succeed the most if anything to shut up my friend that says all he can do is goof.
Did your friend really watch Buffy? Nick could be scary as hell (The Pack), moving (many times, but the end of Potential for starters), and sexy (well, not to me, but I've been told).
On rating the seasons, Keith Topping, who wrote the books Slayer., Slayer the Next Generation, and Hollywood Vampire (on Angel) reviews the last season of Buffy for the British magazine Shivers, and is a big fan of Season 7 (so far-still the last third of the season to go).
Interesting article on Buffy and lesbians, though I'm still waiting for the article in a gay publication that recognizes that ME subverted the DLC far more than it reinforced it (because Tara obviously wasn't "punished" for being this alien evil influence on Willow, since in season 6 she was by far the most together and "normal"* character on the show).
- "Normal" being a word, imo, that only and always belongs in quotes.

The director of my theatre school was always harping on the acting students not to watch television because all you find on it is bad acting. There are a lot of times I agree with her on that. Especially with sitcoms.
Being married during Gay Swings? Sometimes weird. Makes me want a gender swap kit for the husband.
Yeah, but the mutual checking-out-chicks thing is kinda fun. Also, you can go see Tomb Raider together without a problem, since you're both there for the same thing.
Isn't it amazing how getting married rewrites your entire history in the eyes of outsiders into a fairly straight vanilla?
