Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

I saw that one. She was sick wasn't she?

(Isn't she always kinda?) She just looked REALLY mad and of course part of me was thinking - "just kick his ass already." That would be the part of me that has trouble doing the fiction/reality separation thing....

Oh - and don't mean to taunt, BUT - I just got my Season 4 DVDs (like 20 minutes ago from the nice UPS man) - made the mistake of opening them at work, made the further mistake of popping the last disc with the Restless commentary into my computer....(no, I don't have any willpower - why do you ask?). Can't wait to get this home.

And - finally - I'm only a lurker and now more-than-occasional poster but I can't express how happy I am to have the Phoenix back. Bless all you hard working folk who made it happen.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Was that the Howard Stern wherein they were talking about her waxing her 'bikini area', which didn't offend me so much as the whole "Who makes more, you or freddy? Who pays the mortgage? how much do you make for Buffy anyway?"

Yes, that was the one. She just kept saying "It's an equal relationship." And then he started asking about their birth control methods....

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

And then he started asking about their birth control methods....

Were I her, I'd have been so tempted to reply "We watch you, Howard, and it puts us off sex entirely."

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

I have not labeled the tape that contains "Chosen" yet. I figure that will be the final ending of Buffy for me, and I just ain't ready yet. In fact, I've only re-watched the episode on my computer (except to break down the previously, which was thankfully short).

However, now that the show is over, it is interesting to look back on episodes and re-evaluate them as parts of the whole. Last night, I pulled out one of the old TT threads from the beginning of Season 5 and couldn't help but laugh at some of the concerns voiced back then. Also, it was interesting that we didn't watch-and-post back then. Everyone waited until the West Coasties finished before comments were posted about the episode. I'll have to do some more research to find out when we started that tradition, because I know I participated in one near the end of the season.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Lord, Lord. When did we become so rude?

Edith Wharton is turning over in her grave right now.

However, I'll bet the Atl. Canadians ALWAYS taunted.

While the Phoenix was down, I was reading old TT Buffy threads - and actually came across the point where I started lurking. It was in November of 2000 - right after Beer Bad. Before you go "You've been lurking a way long time freako," I stopped around March of 2001 (or whenever TT went all non-free) and didn't start lurking at the Phoenix until January of this year. (Found it from Joss' Firefly post link and started reading the FAQ and was like - hey - I remember these folks.)

Point of that is - it was REALLY fun to go back and read those threads and see people talking about how they did/didn't want Willow to go evil - and did/didn't want to see Spike go good.

'Til we dance away...

Hey, I've been lurking since the end of '99 and I'm not a freako!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been lurking since the end of '99 and I'm not a freako!

But how can we be sure?

Hey, I've been lurking since the end of '99 and I'm not a freako!

My ploy worked! (Bwahahaha) I knew I'd draw out somebody with that one. Hey Sassy. Careful. I delurked less than a month ago - and look at me. All addicted and greeting people. It's a slippery slope.
