Ben: I didn't ask for any of this. I just want to be normal. Gronx: I wanted to be an underwear model. We play the hand we're dealt.

Is the DVD version of Graduation Day complete?

bitterchick - May 28, 2003 9:18:32 am PDT #2513 of 10001

But the US version of "Graduation Day 2" (when the finale finally aired) was the same as the Canadianland version wasn't it?

I believe so. I don't think there were any further edits.

Is the DVD version of Graduation Day complete?

I've never seen the DVDs so I don't know.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So, I took the opportunity last night to spend some time playing video games last night. I had a big open spot in my schedule.

But when I made the realization that I could do whatever I wanted, there was about fifteen minutes of wandering around the apartment like a lost puppy saying "it's over, she's gone..."

It was sad.

I was so excited to see Lessons last night - curse UPN and Tyra Banks and her dumb model show. It was depressing. I decided it was time to jump on the Gilmore Girls wagon - and I fell right asleep - they talk so damn fast - it's witty - but not very real. Sigh.

Grad. Day on DVD - if I remember correctly - seems to have lots more explosions and stuff. Oh - and the whole damn season on DVD is worth it just to have the scene of Buffy scrunching the metal vase thing when Angel bites her - you know the kicking the table over thinly veiled metaphor for sex scene - I was very happy I purchased the DVDs when I saw that they had included that. That wasn't included in the original airing was it?

edited lots 'cause of lack of second cup of coffee

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I was a Bronzer once, and true.

Yep. Those were da days.

Oh yeah. It was on the tv. That remains (for me) the hottest moment I've ever seen on film of any kind.

Oh. Well there goes my great justification for paying the full price for the DVD - but it wasn't on the FX version - soooo - still an OK justification. (like I really need to justify - but you know) And yeah - damn hot.

Have to edit to add that that was this was the first time I have used the quick-edit formatting thingy to quote and I am really kind of too proud that it worked. I realize this is silly - but I'm still a pen to paper kinda girl - so. That's some damn handy stuff. Next thing you know I'll be italicizing....

I can't even.

Hmm. I'm mightily resisting the urge to scurry home for lunch and pop the Grad Day dvd into the machine ...

Cindy, thanks for the welcome.

I'm sure that if "Lessons" had been on instead of High School Reunion (on my affiliate) I wouldn't have been feeling quite so bereft. I could have mind-tricked myself a little longer. Or at least, the first Tuesday without Buffy wouldn't have hit so hard. I mean, it had to come eventually, right? Just not so soon. People have talked about not watching the finale, or the last ten minutes of it, to keep it alive in their minds. I couldn't do that, but I realized I have my own little semi-subconscious avoidy scheme. I haven't listened to the last couple of Succubus Club broadcasts, even though I know I'll enjoy them tremendously. The hindbrain trying to stave off a bit more grief, I guess.

Yep. Those were da days.

Narrator already said WROD, but I'll wrod up on that one too, Allyson.

tina - you delurked again! You'll be addicted in no time, flat. (The quote quick-edit scared the dickens outta me for months. Now I forget how to post on boards that don't have it.)

JohnSweden - what was your Bronze name, or are you in the witness protection program?

tina f. - May 28, 2003 11:10:09 am PDT #2521 of 10001

As I have been with alarming frequency....and like John all I can think is - it would be when the damn show is over - oh well.

Anybody see the rerun of the Howard Stern where SMG is on promoting the first Scooby Doo? I can't stand him - but I saw her and stopped thinking it was recent. She looked so uncomfortable and it was so awful to watch - I had to do the mute thing when he was talking and look through my hand. Then I had to stop myself from kicking the TV - and considering she agreed to be on his show, I'm not sure why I felt so protective of her....just kind of sensitive about all things Buffy these days I guess.
