Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hmm... strange that they would/could name another cheerleading movie that without it being connected somehow.

edit

so, different director, writer, characters, setting, plot. but check the taglines.

Bring It On: May the Best Moves Win.
Bring It On Again: May the Best Moves Win Again.

Interesting...

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

So, Cindy, is that you getting quoted in the final TWOP Buffy recap? About giving women the vote in 1920 and so on?

Up with the sun

Smonster, if you go to the full credits page, it looks like they do share a producer.

It's weird.

Not unless Ace was lurking here, and made me sound smarter than I am (oh and if you did - thanks Ace - whomever you are). But I'll admit, when I saw it, it gave me pause.

The TWoP recap made me sad. Ditto my friends' recap at Boils and Blinding Torment. I think there was plenty to mock this season (and every) but - I don't know, I felt good after the finale (still do). My people are safe. Their past is dead and buried. They have so much ahead of them, and there's hope. That's all I wanted.

Ah - I thought maybe that was the Other Place you'd had that conversation.

You make it sound so ... appealing. Damn you! Can I not fester a little longer?

By jove, lyra jane, i think you've got it!

I had to stop reading the TWOP recaps. They were making me sad and irritated (Ganya or death!). I felt like Buffy was getting judged by a much higher standard than, say, Smallville. It didn't feel funny. It felt mean.

That said, I'm probably going to go read the recap. My 'Chosen' love is strong enough to withstand ace and sep.

The evil is this way?

My objection to the TwoP recap is that it seems like it's snark for the sake of snark. Me not so much a fan of that, esp. when it comes to a show like "Buffy."

Narrator speaks for me. I stopped reading their Buffy recaps a long time ago, for just that reason. I still read the Six Feet Under recaps, and got an email announcing the Buffy finale recap, and thought I'd try it for old times sake.

They're paid to be snarky. Plus, they used to really love the show and then lost the love and became bitter, so I think it's personal.
