Lyra Jane, yeah, and it has Buffy thinking, as she overlooks the crater that was Sunnydale, "Cookie dough." Hee! The author is Nancy Holder.
Steph and Julie, if it were just Spike in flames, yeah, ashtray, hell, purifying fire and all that. But I was talking about Buffy and Spike holding hands that burst into flames. That's different.
Fun Fact: The flaming hands scene was shot a week or so after primary filming ended. Stunt hands, of course.
Stunt hands, of course
Is that like Jazz hands?

Still leads to an ashtray.

Jazz hands slide over.
Stunt hands stand in.
Whole other vibe!
Because the last time JM agreed to set his hand on fire (in Lover's WAlk) he actually got burned.
Joss for President?-I'm on board.
But now I'm wondering, how did Spike get to the school? Was he on the bus, covered in blankets (or tucked in someone's backpack - he's quite compact, you know.) Or did he do the sewer tunnel thing and just popped up in the hallway? I can't really remember.
From what I could see, he just had his coat over his head. Don't know if you can see him in the outside shot, but inside you see him uncover his head.
Lover Lover Lover could so easily be Wes/Lilah filk. (nudge)
plei, this went over my head b/c I didn't know the song, but I just googled the lyrics and HS! You'd barely have to change anything.

Hey Victor, your Buffy article from OC Weekly was linked to on the TVTattle blog.
Thanks for the heads-up. Is it vain to be fascinated where these stories turn up? The Buffy stuff, particularly, has a habit of spreading across the Internet. Very fascinating, in a self-involved sort of way.
The actress of HatGirl!Vi is Felicia Day, because someone asked upthread.
Look for her (or not) in 'Bring It On Again' (supposedly a 'Revenge Of The Nerds'/'Meatballs' sort of plotline except with cheerleading) later this year as the character Penelope. I suppose they couldn't get ED and decided that one slayer was as good as another these days.
Can't say I'm likely to see this film, but I did enjoy to no end the change from mousey to strong when her powers came in. We know that she can at least portray those who character types quite well enough.
