The evil is this way?

Well, I'm wanking a bit. (Or, a lot.) She was pure energy and her blood opened the portal to the Glory dimension. So, I'm assuming that her blood was mixed with that energy. Or something.

Not a bad fanwank, as fanwanks go.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Except they keep saying she's perfectly normal now.

Strawberry disappointment.

I've watched Chosen and am happy with how the series ended.

Thought for a while now that Spike would do the big sacrfice thing. Didn't see Anya dying coming. Loved Andrew questioning why he was still alive. Loved that it really was about power. Buffy's (and Faith's) and how they shared it. Not alone anymore. Loved Wood's not!death scene, very funny thank you very much. Adored the four in the school's hallway, being back at the begining.

But most importantly ...

Now I will forever be right in my RIGHTNESS that the BBS is BOTH. Ha!

Well, they also viewed Willow's problem with majik as an addiction, then Giles said at the beginning of this season that they were wrong. If Dawn touched the Scythe and got a vibe off of it, then they could have re-examined their theory about her no-longer-Keyness. Or the nice White-haired lady could have told them. Or W&H's documents could have explained it.

Recipe for Slayerness - Sharing:

Mix:

  • 1 tablespoon Slayer blood from each Slayer

  • Dash of (former) pure energy mixed with Slayer blood.

Then stir in bright light from one Wicca.

Makes thousands.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But, surely, until someone contradicts it onscreen it's not a fanwank, so much as a canon modification?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What I want to know is why they didn't wait to open the seal until after the spell had worked. Far less danger of everyone being killed, you know?

The evil is this way?

My assumption was that the First would know what they were doing and send the Bringers after them once the spell started. There would be casualties up top and no organized stand in the Hellmouth. So, they needed to get into position and count on Willow to pull the spell off. They were going to have to go down to the Hellmouth and take the fight to the Baddies in any event.
