I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Oh, and the running-along-the-roof shot was the best '50s monster movie pastiche EVER.

Thrive to spite them

Buffy ended the show without being in a relationship at all. She wasn't with Spike or Angel. She was opening herself up to the possiblity that she wouldn't be with anyone when the apocolaypse was over, at least that's how I read her cookie dough metaphor.

One of the things I wanted for Buffy for the entire run of the series was for her to be on her own, not in a relationship or pining or needing a guy and I hope that now that she's not alone in being the Slayer she won't feel she has to be with someone.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

annie sewell-jenningh has a lovely post in her lj about how William/Spike has always been looking for love outside himself... Cecily, Dru. Buffy-- and has alwasy been looking for something 'effulgent' or glowing. And in the end he found that inside himself, literally glowing.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Pacey, to Buffy: "Damn, I thought *Capeside* was fucked-up!"

Damn, I really want some Pacey/Buffy now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The DC finale being a 5-year flash forward puts the Creek folk 3-4 years older than the Scoobies.

Buffy/Pacey. Heh. Just the thought of Buffy beating the crap out of Joey Potter to get to him makes this idea a good one.

It didn't even occur to me to wonder if Buffy & Spike had sex. My general Spike apathy aside, it's a tribute to Joss that Did They Or Didn't They didn't seem at all important -- it's not what their relationship, whatever it is, is about at this point, so much so that the question didn't even seem worth asking.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Hey, I recall, sometime in the middle of S3 Creek (during Pacey's pining phase) that Pacey actually mentioned Hellmouth, as in "if I confess my feelings to this girl, the cosmos will shift and the hellmouth will open up and swallow the Capeside whole" (or something like that.)
