You know, I don't know how other people feel, but if I had personally written the end I wanted for Spike and Buffy, this is exactly what I would have written. Becuase he made this sacrifice not for Buffy, but because it was the right thing. And she learned how to speak up and share what she was feeling in the moment. And that is what they needed to learn from each other.

Buffy 4: Grr. Arrgh.
This is where we talk about Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No spoilers though?if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. This thread is NO LONGER NAFDA. Please don't discuss current Angel events here.
I'm rewatching the last few minutes (AIFG!). I love it that Spike went down fighting, laughing and defiant to the end.
About how many people escaped on the bus?
The slayers awakening around the world was too awesome.
The smoke screen bit wasn't as cringe worthy to me as the rest of Spike and Buffy's interactions have been but I so dislike how Spike has ended up as a character for most of the season that...
I did like the drawing of Angel on the heavy bag.
A) Spike got his redemptive death-- Woo & Hoo
B) t clears throat BUFFYNANGLE4EVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!1!!!!
msbelle, you wanted my ending?
OK, they just showed a commercial involving trailering a horse on FOX, and it looked like they were doing something discussed in Natter. I'm thrown.
Allyson, before you are free, I want to know why you hated it, cause you explain that stuff so well. Me, I'm easy.
Know what I shallowly appreciated? When they were showing potentials all over the world waking up into themselves? There were ones shaped like me and more.
I have a house full of drunken Buffistas! AIFG!
OK, I'm so glad you guys are here! New journey, new life, now with comrades and equals at her side (some with truly remarkable healing powers, ahem).
Suppose they'll paint the bus in geometric shapes?
I really loved the girl-potential slayer who was getting hit and then rises up and stops the hand. Go you! Kick ass and take names!
Amanda and Anya died though, it's not fair.
I'm very happy with this ending. Some people I found interesting died (although not the ones I expected), and I don't think it would have rung true if that hadn't happened. But the core Scoobies, the four that I really wanted to see standing at the end, made it out. That scene in the hallway before the last fight, the "let's do the mall later" scene, wrapped things up so well for me -- tying it all back to the first episodes. And Buffy's finally free!
I also loved the bit about slayers all over the world coming into their power.
