Lydia: But you are a vampire. Spike: If I'm not, I'm gonna be pissed about drinking all that blood.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm very happy with this ending. Some people I found interesting died (although not the ones I expected), and I don't think it would have rung true if that hadn't happened. But the core Scoobies, the four that I really wanted to see standing at the end, made it out. That scene in the hallway before the last fight, the "let's do the mall later" scene, wrapped things up so well for me -- tying it all back to the first episodes. And Buffy's finally free!

I also loved the bit about slayers all over the world coming into their power.

Hello! I must be going.

Now I want to be at Victor's house! I knew I shouldn't have moved out of Somerville just in time for the terrorists down here!

My Sondheimy musings in Atlantic Canadianes

I think that Joss really tried his best to satisfy everyone, which I thought was impossible at this point.

Lurking from Table Talk, to worldcrossing, to here I would like to make my first (and possibly last) post:

Thank you TPTB, for a wonderful television show that I will be talking about for the rest of my life.

I really, really enjoyed Buffy.

Red hair and black leather--my favorite color scheme.

The slayers awakening around the world was too awesome.

Yes. I wonder if we'll see repercussions of this on Angel next year?

And, hey! The vampire with the soul did play a major role in the Apocalypse!

Thrive to spite them

I'm glad Buffy is free, all I've ever wanted for her is to have a normal life. But not, you know, settling down with Spike or Angel and having their babies badfic normal. I hope she goes off to college.

Hi erike! And welcome!

(also, I am so earwormed with Into the Woods and Candide it is not funny)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The slayers awakening around the world was too awesome.

I was covered in goosebumps.

Seriously, Scola was sitting right here and I'm wearing a tank top and shorts-- there's a witness.

Nobody

Yesterday I watched Prophecy Girl. And bawled. Today I watched The Gift. And really really bawled. I thought I was done, but then I came here and read the filk, and the remembrances, and the tributes, and many of the articles that were linked to, and now my eyes are all leaky again.

Ten more minutes.

Amber - there's no chance you're in the Boston area, I suppose. I watched the same ones as you, and pretty much 99% of the times you post, I just sit and nod.

And may I say how fond I am of all of you (including those I've fought with).

ted - except for that one episode this season, you (and UTTAD) are my Buffy brother(s). I *know* you loved this ending. (right?)

so I went to the Museum of Broadcasting and watched what I could.

Caroma - I think you should win a prize for that sort of newbie-Buffy dedication, plus, that's a great story!

DX, here, at the Somervillain party, with special guest star msbelle!!! Woo!

Thank goodness that secret is out. I browbeat the sweet secret keeper into telling me, because I couldn't attend the Infante's hootenanny. I could feel the up of pinkness in the state, though (and sweetness, too.) Hi msbelle!

Hey all. I'm here. And I'm in a better place and promise I won't use the U word.

{{{Wenda}}}

"Fat grandchildren"? Ouch.

LOVED that, as it was a shout-out to Jenny's line in Amends. The continuity faerie struck again, and this time, actually wielded by Whedon.

Nice line about about the wrestling and the oil. I love the picture of Angel.

Even Buffy loves a little HoYay in an apocalypse.

I loved that; and I swear I thought of the Buffistae the whole time.

I want that picture of Angel from the punching bag.

That almost caused me to waste a mouthful of a $20 bottle of Merlot, it did.

I love Anya too. I love them all tonight. -sob-

This is me. And I started crying precisely at 8:30, when Anya called Andrew a little 'monkey'. I collected myself. And then my four babies squared off alone, together in the hall, and I lost it.

How can it be 8:44 already? This is not right.

This also was me.

OK, the Frayverse now makes no sense at all!

Only if you discount the ability of humans to fuck up a good thing in a couple of centuries. Surely, that's a possibility that need not be fanwanked, Caroma.

Okay - finished this threadsuck and there were 35 new posts. My carpal tunnel does not thank you, and it would like to enter, for the record, that msbelle is lovely, but wack, if she didn't like this finale.
