For some reason, I now have Natalie Merchant's group's "These are the days" stuck in my head which hasn't been stuck in my head since I cleaned out my room to move to college.

Our wings are not tired.

The Jossy dialogue throughout was so wonderful. I love you. No you don't, but thanks for saying it. He wears lifts. Jealous vampire crap. The drawing of Angel!!! The whole having my pride thing was just a smoke screen. Canon fodder.

And Real!Giles was there.

Oh sob, this is one of those episodes that just gets better on re-viewing.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Did you see Buffy look up the road, away from the crater, when she got off the bus? Fits in with the "new journey starting" idea.

Yeah, I think Buffy's ready to pop something out of the oven, finally.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I don't quite get it--a new Hellmouth opened and they start all over again?

I think that was a nod to the Wishverse; there was a pre-existing one in Cleveland, implied.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

You know, I don't know how other people feel, but if I had personally written the end I wanted for Spike and Buffy, this is exactly what I would have written. Becuase he made this sacrifice not for Buffy, but because it was the right thing. And she learned how to speak up and share what she was feeling in the moment. And that is what they needed to learn from each other.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm rewatching the last few minutes (AIFG!). I love it that Spike went down fighting, laughing and defiant to the end.

About how many people escaped on the bus?

Our wings are not tired.

The slayers awakening around the world was too awesome.

Thrive to spite them

The smoke screen bit wasn't as cringe worthy to me as the rest of Spike and Buffy's interactions have been but I so dislike how Spike has ended up as a character for most of the season that...

I did like the drawing of Angel on the heavy bag.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
