Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

But I also like Gus' suggestion. Oh, the dilemma!

Which one?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

We could deathmatch the thread title proposals until Elena returned. You know, just so that we wouldn't miss her deathmatches too much.

And mention it in Press!

Let's deathmatch it in Press!

I kid. I KID.

Which one?

Specifically, "Who said that? ME. Who? ME!"

Let's deathmatch it in Press!

Dammit!! Two people got there first. Rassenfrassen quick comeback type people.

Humph.

Preferential Voting.

There, I said it. What?

Actually, I really like the name we have now because it captures the deathmatch flava. Someone waaaaay upthread mentioned "One Quote to Rule Them All" which I quite like. Although, it might be too hobbit-y and I don't want to offend the anti-Hobbit faction.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't want to offend the anti-Hobbit faction.

And yet no one considered the feelings of the anti-Thunderdome contingent.

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

If Spazzed is really that big a thing, then my fallback position is anything about eating babies. You know, nice middle of the road, PC Baby eating.

And yet no one considered the feelings of the anti-Thunderdome contingent.

They don't need another hero.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

, The culture here has always been to err on the side of not offending anyone. No one (to my knowledge) ever said they were offended by "bitches", while several have said they are offended by "spazzed". It's just a thread title -- it's not worth offending someone over it -- let's just substitute "pants".
I agree that we should not use a word that is offensive in a thread title.
I reserve the right to be offended by elements of his work, and appreciate a community that understands I'm not just making it up. Because I'm not. There are enough UnAmericans here that find it rude, and I'd extend the same grace to anyone offended by something acceptedly rude, but that didn't ping my radar.
For exactly the reasons that ita just said.

"Who said that? ME. Who? ME!"

These are both amusing. And now we have new options even.
