Well, it's October. I second.

Not to interrupt the fun-with-procedure, but I don't think you need a motion and discussion to reopen the thread. Just ask the stompies to do it.

I'll third.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Why October? I thought we voted to close it and motions aren't to be reconsidered for six months.

(I'm not against it, but I think we should follow procedure)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I thought this was an exception. Six months from when we closed it would be much too late to start the discussion and still have time to plan.

eta: or what Steph said.

And I was just about to come back in here and post what Perkins said.

There's NO WAY to plan a May F2F if we can't open the thread until April.

The vote said, "We should close the F2F Planning thread until the next F2F goes into being planned and then reopen it to posts at that time."

If we're planning the next "national" F2F then there's no need to vote; we can just reopen it. If we're not, then... y'know... folks shouldn't have voted to close it.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

10. We should close the F2F Planning thread until the next F2F goes into being planned and then reopen it to posts at that time.

YES: 73 *
NO: 26
NO PREFERENCE: 23

If people are ready to start planning, it should open.

We are. Hence Perkins making the request.
