I've just opened it.

So when do we start planning? I have no objection to reopening the thread if we start planning now -- and it's never too early to start discussing where.
The F2F thread didn't even hit post 1000 until January, and 1500 until March.
(It's now at 7378.)
We started planning both previous F2Fs the previous October, hence it's time to reopen. (edit - and I'm wrong. We started planning the last F2F in September.)

Also, last year, we didn't have the hotel set in place until way late in the process. It'd be nice to avoid that this time around.
We started location scouting around this time last year, because location arrangements were made in early spring, IIRC.
Natter 17=4^2 - cos(p): Could this be mathier, Nilly?
I vote for this thread title.
So when do we start planning?
Planning's underway now, that's the point -- people are asking about picking dates and places so they can put in for vacation time already.
The discussion is opening because Deena, who I am certain is not alone in this, has been told by her husband's employers that they need to request vacation time something like eight months before they take it.
It's open? Cool. On my way.
But we are NOT discussing the Halloween F2F there. That's at PF F2F.
Another yay for the "Natter 17 = [mumblesomething]: Could this be mathier, Nilly?"
Good on the national F2F. I was just thinking about that, and the need for advance planning.
Could this be mathier, Nilly?
The Buffy reference is good. But I was kind of leaning toward "Could you Nilly that for me?"
I was all happy with
Natter 17 = 4^2 - cos(pi): Could this be mathier, Nilly?
or
Natter 17 = 4^2 - cos(pi): Nilly could make this mathier
and then
But I was kind of leaning toward "Could you Nilly that for me?"Hhrrrummpphhh!
