HOLY SHIT. If this is the person I am thinking of, the HSQ just boiled over and leaked out of my brain onto my very stylish new pajama pants. Is greener pastures starting his or her own farm, or going to work as a farmhand in the local dairy conglommerate?

I'll give you a hint. It's the one I didn't work for. And he went to WMA. Took Don and Liz with him. I'm not sure if Cheryl and Scott went or not. I gotta get the rest of the dish from J. When we spoke, they weren't sure where he'd gone. They only knew that his office was empty.
ahahahahahahahaha
In other news, so on this FF spoiler thing, would we just tell people not to read the last 100 or so posts in the Spoiler thread until they've seen all three of the US unaired eps?
Actually, I'd be fine with it being in the main thread, without whitefont. I wasn't around from the beginning, but the spoiler policy seems like it should put the emphasis on the "unaired" part, not the "US" part -- I'm guessing the US-y-ness of the rule is because it was written when everything was airing here first.
As far as I'm concerned, the eps are airing, and so are current.
amych speaks for me.
Here's the thing, the UnAms need some place to discuss Firefly without restriction, whatever we decide on this. Because when they're done with all of the episodes, if they're like the NAFDA posters, they're going to want to talk about all of the episodes.
It's going to be difficult when they're talking about (for example) an ongoing theme of the show, to remove the three episodes they've gotten and we haven't - from their canon. I think that either we should cede the Firefly thread to UnAm posters, and the spoiler-averse NAFDA posters should stay out of it, or the UnAms should be able to talk about it in UnAm with abandon, or they should get their own FF thread.
The problem I see with UnAms talking about all of FF in UnAm (without restriction) is that not all UnAms have gotten Firefly, just the Brits, yes?
So far, yes, of UnAms just the Brits have Firefly (unless we have any South Afriacan Buffistas-- SciFi is also broadcasting Firefly there, I believe, if their website does not lie). I've made comments about the most recent episode ('Trash') in Spoilers, but without reading previous posts, because I don't want to be spoiled; Fay made hers in whitefont in the main Firefly thread.
Something concrete by way of policy would be kind of nice, please.

Why wouldn't they be able to do that in the Spoiler thread? Once all eps have aired in the UK, the Spoiler Thread will be safe for them. The main thread would still be US-aired eps only.
Actually, I'd be fine with it being in the main thread, without whitefont.
If we do that, then they'll be no safe haven for USians who haven't obtained the unaired eps.
I've seen 'em. I have no personal stake in this. I'm just trying to come up with something that's most fair to the most people.

Perhaps the US/Canadians who haven't obtained the unaired eps could talk about Firefly in UnAm? (I don't know - I like the irony.) I just share amych's mindset that the purpose of NAFDA was to build a free discussion area for people in areas where eps had already aired.

I haven't seen them. I have no personal stake in it either, though, because I rarely discuss Firefly any longer. t heresy There weren't enough episodes (aired or un-) for me to feel like talking about it this long after the fact. t /heresy I realize the mileage of most other US/Canada Firefly fans will vary. I just feel like the UnAms are getting the short end of the stick, again, even though this time, they're getting episodes before NAFDA posters.
I won't continue to press it though, because it very much doesn't involve me. I just think it's the UnAmistas turn to own the FF thread.

That's a fair point. I won't press it any more either. I think we need other voices here. Whatever we decide, we should decide soon -- today if possible -- so that the Brits can stop having to type with one hand over their eyes.
It seems to me that most of the current discussion about Firefly is being driven by the veiwings in the UK. Also, I'm pretty sure most of the hardcore FF fans have seen the unaired eps already. (I haven't, but I've read the scripts.) So I'm for letting the UKers post in the main thread and leave the spoiler thread for the totally spoiled.
The one problem with a temporary ban in the spoiler thread is that is that I'm never sure what episode have aired in the UK or what episode goes with which title, so I'm sure I'd accidentally open up my big up my big spoiled mouth.
If there's one thing us spoiler whores hate, it's whitefont ;)

Well, the Atlantic Canadians have to wait a day.
Well, the Atlantic Canadians have to wait a day.
Well, not any more...
The Atlantic Canadian problem was longer term. Hence, they were given their own thread. This situation is just temporary.
If we allow the Brit's schedule to drive the main thread, can we agree not to discuss "Objects in Space" in the main thread until it airs there in three weeks?
