You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'd like to agree, if I may be so mundane.

See, Bev, no worries. You agreed, which is the way God intended people to do it...

I am consensing all over the place. But I'm in California... they let me get away with the sexual equivalent of murder around here.

This is me stifling my urge to make remarks about my current girlfriend.

Shouldn't impersonating a Buffista be a warnable offense? Because, Jesse's impersonating msbelle... I mean msbelle's impersonating Jesse... I mean...

Oh, forget it...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

SOMEone has a Tony the Tiger fetish. It all becomes clear now.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I'm agreeing with the consensing people who have said yes.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

I'm getting shellacked in there. It would've been a blessing not to have gotten the seconds.

After the second coat of shellac, we'll apply a layer of glaze.

over our eyes...

If we do decide that we can withdraw proposals without a vote at this stage, then I'd definitely say that the moratorium should not be in effect.

That's a problem with letting people have takebacks. If the consensus makes you think you'll lose, you'll want to withdraw so someone else can make a better proposal for the music thread next month. That's just like the old way -- propose something, chorus of nays, try it again later. This isn't a case of that, but takebacks would allow that.

Secondly (so to speak), I think it encourages seconders and proposers to take their roles seriously if they know a poorly-crafted proposal can sink their chances for six months.

Finally, allowing withdrawals opens up a third result for any vote: win, lose, or be pressured into withdrawing by Lightbulb posters. That again brings the old pile on back into the process. That's why I don't think we should allow a seconded proposal to be withdrawn, or amended to "Resolved: Trix Are For Kids."
