Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's a problem with letting people have takebacks. If the consensus makes you think you'll lose, you'll want to withdraw so someone else can make a better proposal for the music thread next month.

Or, conversely, propose something and withdraw the proposal for an automatic moratorium...

I still don't like the idea of withdrawals, I think it misses one of the main points of voting - that you don't have to dominate the posting to have a say. As long as a withdrawal doesn't trigger the moratorium, I can live with it, I guess, but it wouldn't be my preference.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Or, conversely, propose something and withdraw the proposal for an automatic moratorium...

That's a good point, Brenda. One would hope that no one here would be eeevil enough to do that, but why design a system to allow it? Better to not have a withdrawal trigger a moratorium.

SOMEone has a Tony the Tiger fetish. It all becomes clear now.

Are you calling me a frosted flake?

Now I'm really sorry I skipped breakfast this morning.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I stomped a couple of clones.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Still confused. Clearly I'm not hanging in the right threads.

Suela, me neither, I was guessing. And not clear on my guess. Lemme try again.

I believe that DX had to deny a couple of "new registrants" because they were not, in fact, new. Maybe one of those banned was trying to get back in with new email address and user name, but had the same ISP.
