As far as I'm concerned, I haven't had any problems with him. But I don't feel like those who've had should feel obligated to post any details they don't want to. As a society, I hope we're getting past the point of seeing woman after woman say "This happened to me," and disbelieving them.
Dana speaks for me. I've no need for testimony, you have my consent to ban.
Dana and Beverly speak for me.
I am so sad to hear this, but understand and support the action.
Dana and Beverly also speak for me. I'm in favor.
Wow, I find Twitter hard to follow, but Dana and Beverly speak for me as well. I don't want people on this board to be uncomfortable F2F or on the board.
I have not found a lot of concrete examples, to be fair to him...however, behavior like that is private by nature, and people do tend to do more if they don't face up to their stuff.
Yeah, I'm not getting much from the Twitter threads, but I know this is not something anyone here would propose lightly, and I hate the idea that members of this board have left because of one member. And I hate more the idea that someone here has been engaging in any kind of problematic behavior with others.
You have my vote.
I absolutely didn't do it lightly, and he has been contacted with a link to the thread.
Thanks for the links. I'm offline for the day but will review tomorrow.
Why a consensus rather than a vote?
So far all I have found on banning is this:
Consistent demon-like behavior may earn a warning from the Stompy Feet. If you don't listen to the warning, you will be suspended for two months. And if you come back unreformed, you will be banned. Banning is rare and very much a last resort. >[link]
Can I say I think we might be better off voting- not because I think it wouldn't pass, but because I think it sends a strong message that we as a group formally made a decision and took it as seriously as we do other decisions.
I am not going to make any further arguments regarding this, though, because I think it would be derailing.
is there a vote threshold? we are so inactive anymore I don't know we'd reach a #.
