Also, I'm not proposing this on the basis of what hasn't or hasn't happened on Twitter, but because of stuff that's happened here (or to people here).
Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!
I am in favor of the motion, as much as I am against bans, I am against mistreatment of people, particularly mistreatment of members of our community, more.
In favor. Did not know but am not surprised at all.
This is distressing, indeed. I did not know anything about any of this, although I'd heard there were people that avoided F2F encounters, which takes on new meaning in this context. In favor.
I didn't know anything about this either. It's very upsetting to me that people left because of someone here. I want this to be a safe place for people.
I'm in favor.
In favor. Technically this is a public space but those should be safe as well. I'm sad we have to deal with this, but we now do and should do so emphatically.
As far as I'm concerned, I haven't had any problems with him. But I don't feel like those who've had should feel obligated to post any details they don't want to. As a society, I hope we're getting past the point of seeing woman after woman say "This happened to me," and disbelieving them.
Dana speaks for me. I've no need for testimony, you have my consent to ban.
Dana and Beverly speak for me.
I am so sad to hear this, but understand and support the action.
Dana and Beverly also speak for me. I'm in favor.
Wow, I find Twitter hard to follow, but Dana and Beverly speak for me as well. I don't want people on this board to be uncomfortable F2F or on the board.
