That's fine with me so long as slackers feel the end of February gives them enough slack.
Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!
So...not having heard any dissenting opinions, does this work?
Proposal: To set a closing deadline of March 31st for the Goodbye and Good Riddance Thread. As of the last day of February, any ungifted Santa or Slacker Santa giftees will have the option to throw their names back into the pool to be gifted by other volunteers, which will be a way for people who found themselves unable to gift for one reason or another to bow out gracefully and for everyone to get closure on the year without the thread going on for months.
You may want to edit out the extraneous "any". Says the guy who makes typos frequently enough to include in his handle.
I don't know what you're talking about.

When does the thread open? Is that already officially decided?
I think it's been early December the last couple of times.
Hey, ita, have we got votes pointing to Nilly?
Yep.
Awesome. I'll have the ballot up shortly.
Should we add an opening date for GB and GR, or just leave that up to our normal whims? I was thinking it might be nice to just have a set start date (Dec. 1st?), too.

(This is a tentative revision based on what you all think. If you think it was better as is, I will lose the opening date addition before voting.)
