Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That works better for me, obviously, so thanks. I wasn't trying to speak for anyone else though.

No worries. This is the fun that Lightbulbs is all about! Besides, it was a valid point.

I'm in favor of the proposal as worded and think it's a good idea.

(Thanks for making the official proposal, Kristin. I was waiting for the Proposal Fairy. Is s/he like the Credit Fairy? Bummer.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Just so I have this clear in my mind, at the end of March if anyone remains ungifted, Goodbye and Good Riddance would remain open for another month for the round of pinch-gifting (which would go on until the end of April?)

When does Goodbye and Good Riddance open, again, is that set?

I'm just a crazy little lurker, but thank you for bringing up that adjustment in wording. I was trying to write that post, but failed. I wish I were the type of person that didn't get hurt by things like this, but I am not, and I am sure there are others. I understand that shit happens, and I sympathize with people to whom it happens, but I am unable to get past it anyway (call it the downside of ISTJ-ness). I don't participate in exchanges like this for that reason, because I know myself too well.

-t brings up a good point.

No, I think GB&GR would close March 31st and any remaining thanks for pitch hitters could go in beep me.

Oh. Hm. That idea troubles me, but I'm going to have to think about it for a bit to figure out why.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Should the pinch hitting plan kick in a week or two before the thread closes, so that it can be organized in thread?

Because books.

Well, everyone could still use GB&GR to post about their year, and a lot of people do long before they're gifted -- and some people don't participate, anyway. It still feels a little weird to me, too, and possibly not the best use of Beep Me.
