Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

How about proposing that any future Joss show doesn't need a voting process, just a nomination and a second?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Wouldn't a web series legitimately fit in Other Media? I thought it was for Jossy works in other media. Or is it only for Buffyverse in Other Media?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I was specifically thinking of Dr. Horrible and various Joss quotes around wanting to continue developing shows for the web. Should this proposal be around network only and wait to see what happens with future web-based shows?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

One thing - in Rolling Stone, Joss says Dollhouse will be his last TV show.

Glamcookie can expand or contract her proposal as she pleases.

Sorry Glamcookie (sincerely), I did not realise this.

Mmm, yeah, Joss show on TV? Would Dr. Horrible count? Web-episodes of something? How specific do we need to be?

That said....er...I support having a thread of it's own for Dollhouse. I think that if Tim has another show, or other things of Tim's want to be discussed, and Dollhouse is still ongoing, it would be nice to not have to have overlapping discussions. Plus, this is a JOSS show. And it's been a while since we've had one of those. And after all, isn't that what we were founded around? Let's give it a thread here, people! :)

I think it's generally safe to say that Jose comics should go in Other Media, Joss movies should go in Movies, but web thingies are maybe a little more complicated. My inclination is to say OM, especially if it's only a three parter. Extended, well... I don't know.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I believe that we already know that Dr. Horrible is getting a second show.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Agreed- nicely put.

Impossible. The only other visual/serial medium that works for his kind of story-telling is comics. And he's said he can't do that full-time - it just doesn't pay well enough. If memory serves, he said he'd never work with Fox again too.

Relatedly, but of little evidentiary value, I think Stephen King told Rolling Stone several years ago that the last Dark Tower book would be his last book ever. That was 3 books ago?

My only issue with granting web-based shows their own threads is that so far, I haven't seen a web-based show built to last more than a few short episodes. Okay, there's Weebl and Bob, and in my heart there's always RadiSkull, but...
